The District at Green Valley Ranch Installs New Tot Turf, Replacing the Grass in The Courtyard ============================================= HENDERSON, NV; April 8, 2008 – The District at Green Valley Ranch,
the Las Vegas valley’s premier mixed-use metropolitan lifestyle center
located at I-215 and Green Valley Parkway in Henderson,
has replaced the grass in The Courtyard on Main Street with
an all-new Tot Turf surface.

The all-new Tot Turf in The Courtyard is a soft, playground style material for the kids to run, jump and play on. “We wanted to create a fun, new experience for kids and their families when they visit The District to watch the live bands, attend a special event, or just enjoy the day shopping and dining in our stores and restaurants” said Ed Schiel, Sr. Vice President of Commercial Operations for American Nevada Company, the developer and operator of The District. “Not only will removing the grass from The Courtyard save water, a valuable resource in our desert community, but the Tot Turf is made of recycled tires, so it’s also friendly to the environment”.

The new turf features a spiral design, reminiscent of the yellow brick road from The Wizard of Oz, and features interactive touch points in the ground that make different sounds when the kids step on them. It’s a whole new way to have fun in The Courtyard!
